- GRI 101/102, GRI 201/202, or CCIM courses CI 101, CI 102, CI 103, CI 104
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Schedule a fingerprinting reservation and pay the associated fee.
- Successfully pass both sections of the exam and complete the fingerprinting process.
- Confirm fingerprint approval using the Idaho Real Estate Commission’s online services. No notification will be sent.
- Apply for a license.

What is the passing score for the Idaho real estate license exam?
The salesperson examination comprises 80 questions on national topics and 40 questions focused on state-specific content, while the broker examination consists of 80 questions on national topics and 50 questions focused on state-specific content.
Each real estate licensing exam has multiple versions or forms with varying levels of difficulty. To ensure fairness, a statistical method called equating is used to account for these differences. The passing score is 70 for the salesperson exam and 75 for the broker exam. For scores below these thresholds, the result reflects how close the candidate was to passing rather than the exact number or percentage of questions answered correctly.

What is the time limit for the Idaho real estate exam?
The salesperson and broker exams each have a total time limit of 240 minutes (4 hours), 150 minutes for the national portion and 90 minutes for the state portion.
What to bring for the state of Idaho real estate license exam?
Two current forms of identification with signatures. The name on both IDs and the registration must match. The primary ID must be government-issued, include a photo, and have a signature, while the secondary ID must feature a valid signature. All identification must be in English.

- U.S. learner’s permit.
- National/State/Country Identification Card.
- Passport.
