What you need to get your real estate license in Arizona

Salesperson:

  • Submit a completed application, which Pearson VUE supplies upon passing the salesperson license exam.
  • Arizona State Exam Score Report
  • Pre-licensure Education Certificate (90 hours)
  • Contract Writing Course Certificate (6 hrs)
  • Proof of Legal Presence in U.S.
  • Proof of age 18 and above
  • DPS issued AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Disclosure Documentation (if you have had convictions, disciplinary actions, or adverse judgments against you)

Broker:

  • Submit a completed application, which Pearson VUE supplies upon passing the broker license exam.
  • Arizona State Exam score report.
  • Pre-licensure Education Certificate (90 hours).
  • Broker Management Clinic Certificates (9 hrs).
  • Proof of Legal Presence in U.S.
  • Proof of age 18 and above.
  • DPS issued AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Disclosure Documentation (if you have had convictions, disciplinary actions, or adverse judgments against you).
  • Broker Candidate Experience Verification form LI-226 (Proof of 3 years full-time experience as a salesperson or broker during the immediate 5 years preceding application).
  • Submit the Arizona Designated Broker form (Entity/Broker Status Change Form LI-216) for hiring.

What is the passing score for the Arizona real estate license exam?

The salesperson exam includes a total of 180 questions covering both national and state-specific topics.

The broker exam also includes a total of 180 questions covering both national and state-specific topics.

The examination score is reported as a percent score on a scale of 0%-100%. It refers to a test grade given in terms of percentage of the number of correct answers given, the minimum score required for a passing grade being 75%.

What is the time limit for the Arizona real estate exam?

For the salesperson exam, you have 300 minutes.

For the broker exam, you have 315 minutes.

What to bring for the state of Arizona real estate license exam?

  • Two (2) forms of current signature identification. It is necessary for the names on both the ID and the registration card to be identical. The primary ID must be government-issued and include a photo and signature (such as a driver’s license, passport, green card, or U.S. social security card), and the secondary ID must have a valid signature. Identification must be in English.
  • Prelicensure education certificate.
  • Basic (non-scientific) calculator.
  • Broker Candidate Experience Verification Form (LI-226) along with a certified license history (for broker candidates only).
