What to Know About Your Arkansas Exam

Arkansas Real Estate Exam Passing Score

Each licensing exam has multiple versions or forms. While all forms are created from the same content outlines, the difficulty level may vary slightly due to different questions on each form. To ensure fairness and that no candidate is advantaged or disadvantaged by the form they receive, a statistical process called equating is used to adjust for these differences in difficulty.

The Arkansas Real Estate Commission determined the passing score for each examination after conducting an exhaustive study. First, raw scores are converted to scaled scores ranging from 0 to 100. Candidates who do not pass receive only numeric scores to protect against misuse of score information. The scaled score you see does not directly indicate the number or percentage of questions answered correctly. For both the real estate salesperson and broker exams, a score of 70 is marked as the passing grade, and anything below it indicates how close the candidate came to the passing mark rather than an exact number or percentage of correct responses.
