What to Know About Your Georgia Exam

Georgia Real Estate Exam Passing Score

For salespersons:

The exam comprises 152 questions; 100 of those questions belong to the national portion, and 52 questions belong to the state-specific portion. Multiple-choice sections passing score is determined by Angoff method, whereby subject matter experts evaluate the relative difficulty of each question linked to what a ‘minimally competent practitioner’ (MCP) should know or demonstrate. These ratings are then combined to establish the minimum passing score, which represents a minimally competent practitioner’s expected performance on the examination.

For brokers:

In the broker exam, you will encounter 11 simulation problems plus four simulation problems focused on state-specific topics. Content experts evaluate each section of the simulations to establish a minimum passing level (MPL). That MPL is based on the scoring weights assigned to each option and also represents the performance expected of a ‘minimally competent practitioner.’

Upon completing your examination, you will receive an official results report.

What You Need to Bring for the Georgia Real Estate Exam

You must present two forms of identification.

The primary ID must be government-issued and current and include your name, signature, and photo (such as a driver’s license, state ID card, passport, or military ID with a photograph). Temporary IDs are not accepted. Additionally, you’ll need to sign a roster to confirm your identity.

The secondary ID must show your name and signature for verification (such as a signed credit card, social security card, or employment/student ID card). If the name on your registration differs from your ID, you’ll need to provide proof of your name change, like a marriage license, divorce decree, or court order.

A basic (non-scientific) calculator is also permitted.
