What is the passing score for the Maine real estate license exam?
The sales associate exam has two (2) sections: the General and Maine Law sections. The examination score works on a scale of 0-100 with a passing score of 75 or more (The score does not represent the number of questions answered correctly or the percentage). The general portion of the real estate exam comprises eighty (80) scored items and five (5) pretest items that will not count toward the score. The Law portion possesses 40 scored items and 5-15 pretest items. Because pretest items look precisely like scored items, candidates should answer all the items on the examination.
The associate broker and broker licenses do not require an additional exam; they only need to complete the pre-licensing education requirements with a minimum score of 75%.
What is the time limit for the Maine real estate exam?
You will be given 2.5 hours (150 minutes) for the general portion and 1.5 hours (90 minutes) for the Maine Law portion of the Sales Agent exam.
