The national portion of the broker examination consists of 10 simulation problems and is presented in a simulation format. The state portion includes 40 multiple-choice questions. Points are awarded for the national simulation section in the Information Gathering (IG) and Decision Making (DM) sections. Your IG total raw score is the sum of points from all IG sections, and your DM total raw score is the sum of points from all DM sections. These raw scores are converted to scaled scores, with a minimum scaled score of 70 required for both IG and DM to pass. The state portion of the exam requires a scaled score of 70 to pass.
