What you need to get your real estate license in Oklahoma

Provisional sales associate:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be of good moral character.
  • Be sponsored by a broker.
  • Provide evidence to the Commission of successfully completing 90 clock hours of approved basic real estate instruction or an equivalent program.

  • Forty-five clock hours must be completed within the first year of obtaining a license.

Sales associate:

  • Complete continuing education from an approved course, including the following:
    • One hour on the Oklahoma Broker Relationship Act
    • One hour on Oklahoma Code and Rules
    • Six hours on Oklahoma Contracts and Forms

  • Obtain a license certification history from every state where you have previously held a real estate license.
  • Apply online.

  • Have two years of active experience, or its equivalent, as a Provisional Sales Associate or Sales Associate within the past five years.

    • One hour on Oklahoma Code and Rules
    • Six hours on Oklahoma Contracts and Forms
  • Pass the Broker’s examination.

What is the passing score for the Oklahoma real estate license exam?

The salesperson examination, which is presented by provisional sales associates too, comprises 80 questions on national topics and 40 questions focused on state-specific content. You must correctly answer at least 70% of the total number of questions to pass the examination.

The broker examination comprises 80 questions on national topics and 50 questions focused on state-specific content. You must correctly answer at least 75% of the total number of questions to pass the examination.

What is the time limit for the Oklahoma real estate exam?

For salesperson and broker applicants, the total time allowed for both portions of the examination is 240 minutes. The time limit for the national portion is 150 minutes, and for the state portion is 90 minutes.

What to bring for the state of Oklahoma real estate license exam?

One form of current, non-expired, government-issued photo identification. The name on the ID must exactly match the name on the registration. The identification must include a photo, a valid signature, and be in English.
