What to Know About Your Louisiana Exam


Louisiana Real Estate Exam Passing Score

The real estate exam for salespersons and brokers comprises 80 questions corresponding to the national portion and 55 questions for the state portion, for a total of 135 questions.

For salespersons:

The minimum passing score is 70 points.

For brokers:

The minimum passing score is 75 points.

Upon completing the examination, candidates receive a score report marked pass or fail. For candidates who do not pass, the score report includes a numerical score, a performance diagnosis, and instructions for retaking the exam.

What You Need to Bring for the Louisiana Real Estate Exam

You must present one form of identification with a current signature. The name on the ID must exactly match the name submitted during registration. The primary form of ID must be government-issued and must bear a valid signature. The identification must be in English.

Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • Primary identification document (with photograph and signature, not expired).
  • U.S. Department of State driver’s license.
  • U.S. learner’s permit (plastic card with photo and signature only).
  • National ID card.
  • Passport.
  • Passport card.
  • Military ID.
  • Military ID cards for spouses and dependents.
  • Alien Registration Card (green card, permanent resident visa).

You will receive a handheld calculator at the test center. There is also an on-screen calculator that is integrated into the exam.
