What to Know About Your Michigan Exam


Michigan Real Estate Exam Passing Score

For salespersons:

The exam includes 115 multiple-choice questions. The passing percentage score is 70% of the total questions.

For brokers: 

The exam includes 120 multiple-choice questions. The passing percentage score is 75% of the total questions, meaning candidates must correctly answer at least 90 questions.

If you pass the examination, you will only see a ‘PASS’ indication without a numerical score. Candidates who do not pass will receive a detailed score report for each significant section of the exam outline.

What You Need to Bring for the Michigan Real Estate Exam

You need to bring two forms of identification to the test site. One must be government-issued, have your picture, and include your address that matches the name on your application with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Acceptable IDs include a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID.

Your signature and your preprinted legal name must be displayed on the second ID. All IDs must match the name provided to PSI by the Board.

Companions of candidates are not allowed to wait in the test center, inside the building, or on the building’s property.

A basic (non-scientific) calculator is also permitted.
