What to Know About Your Nebraska Exam


Nebraska Real Estate Exam Passing Score

For salespersons:

The exam comprises 100 questions in the national portion and 50 questions in the state portion, totaling 150 questions. To pass the exam, you need at least 70 correct answers on the national portion and 38 correct answers on the state portion.

For brokers:

The exam comprises 50 national multiple-choice questions, 25 state-specific multiple-choice questions, and 10 simulation problems. In the national simulation portion of the exam, you earn points in the Information Gathering (IG) and Decision Making (DM) sections. Your IG total raw score is the sum of points from all IG sections, and your DM total raw score is the sum of points from all DM sections. To pass, your total raw scores must meet or exceed the Minimum Passing Level (MPL) in both IG and DM categories. The passing score for the multiple-choice portion of the examination is 56 correct answers.

What You Need to Bring for the Nebraska Real Estate Exam

You must provide two forms of identification. The primary ID must be government-issued and current and include your name, signature, and photograph. Temporary identification will not be accepted. Additionally, you must sign a roster to verify your identity.

Primary forms of identification may include:

  • Driver’s license with photograph.
  • State identification card with photograph.
  • Passport.
  • Military identification card with photograph.

The second proof of identification should include your name and your signature to be used to verify your signature. Examples: credit card with signature, social security card with signature, employee/student ID card with signature.
