What to Know About Your Rhode Island Exam


Rhode Island Real Estate Exam Passing Score

For salespersons:

The exam consists of general practice and state law portions. The general practice portion consists of 80 questions, and the state law portion comprises 50. The passing score for the salesperson exam is 70.

For brokers:

The exam consists of 80 general practice questions and 60 state law questions. The passing score for the broker exam is 70.

You will receive your score immediately after you complete your exam.

What You Need to Bring for the Rhode Island Real Estate Exam

  • Two valid forms of identification that include your signature. The name on these IDs must precisely match the name used during registration. The primary ID must be government-issued, include a photograph, and feature a signature, while the secondary ID must also display a valid signature. All identification documents must be in English.
    • Primary ID (photograph and signature, not expired):
      • Government-issued driver’s license
      • U.S. Department of State driver’s license.
      • U.S. learner’s permit.
      • National/state/country ID card.
      • Passport.
      • Passport Card.
      • Military ID.
      • Military ID for spouses and dependents.
      • Alien Registration Card.
    • Secondary ID (signature, not expired):
      • U.S. Social Security card.
      • Debit (ATM) card or Credit card.
      • Any form of ID on the Primary ID list.
  • Basic (non-scientific) calculator.
