What to Know About Your Washington Exam


Washington Real Estate Exam Passing Score

For brokers:

The state examination contains 30 scored questions, and the national examination is composed of 100 scored questions. To pass each portion of the examination, you must attain a scaled score of 70.

For managing brokers:

The state examination contains 44 scored questions, and the national examination is composed of 90 scored questions. To pass each examination, you must attain a scaled score of 75.

What You Need to Bring for the Washington Real Estate Exam

You are required to present two forms of identification to verify your identity. The primary identification must be government-issued and include your name, signature, and photograph. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license with a photograph, a state identification card with a picture, a passport, or a military identification card with a photograph. Temporary identification documents are not accepted. Additionally, you will need to sign a roster to confirm your identity.

The secondary identification must display your name and signature for verification purposes. Examples include a credit card with a signature, a Social Security card with a signature, or an employment/student ID card with a signature.

If the name on your registration differs from the name on your identification documents, you must provide legal proof of your name change, such as a marriage license, divorce decree, or court order.
