About the Illinois Real Estate Exam
The Illinois real estate broker exam has two portions: a national portion and an Illinois state portion. The national portion has 100 questions with 150 minutes allowed and a passing score of 70% under the current raw-score reporting system. The state portion has 40 questions with 90 minutes allowed and a passing score of 75%. Together, the exam covers national real estate principles and Illinois-specific law, including agency relationships, disclosures, brokerage practice, and transaction procedures. Passing both portions is required to obtain your Illinois real estate broker license.
