What to Know About Your New Hampshire Exam


New Hampshire Real Estate Exam Passing Score

For Salespersons:

The exam contains 100 questions in the national portion, while the state portion comprises 40 questions. You must achieve a scaled score of 70 to pass each portion of the salesperson exam.

For Brokers:

The national portion of the examination consists of 10 simulation problems and is presented in a simulation format. The state portion includes 40 multiple-choice questions. Points are awarded for the national simulation section in the Information Gathering (IG) and Decision Making (DM) sections. Your IG total raw score is the sum of points from all IG sections, and your DM total raw score is the sum of points from all DM sections. These raw scores are converted to scaled scores, with a minimum scaled score of 70 required for both IG and DM to pass. The state portion of the exam requires a scaled score of 70 to pass.

What You Need to Bring for the New Hampshire Real Estate Exam

Two forms of identification. The primary ID must be government-issued and current and include your name, signature, and photograph. Temporary IDs are not accepted. Additionally, you must sign a roster to verify your identity.

Primary identification may include:

  • Driver’s license with photograph.
  • State identification card with photograph.
  • Passport.
  • Military identification card with photograph.

The secondary form of identification must include your name and signature for verification purposes, such as a credit card, Social Security card, or employment/student ID card with a signature.

If the name on your registration differs from the name on your identification, you must provide proof of your name change, such as a marriage license, divorce decree, or court order.
